Global Self Storage

Terms of Use

For the website. Your rental agreement is the contract, and it wins.

These terms cover the use of easthamptonstorage.com.

This page is not your rental agreement

Worth saying first, because it is the thing people assume. The contract between you and us is the rental agreement you sign at move-in. It sets out what you are renting, what it costs, what happens if you stop paying and what we are and are not responsible for. If anything on this website ever disagrees with that agreement, the agreement is what counts. Read it before you sign it, and ask us about anything in it you do not like.

Prices and availability on this site

Every price here is read from our reservation system every hour, which is how it can be today's rate rather than a starting-from figure. It is still a quote, not an offer we are bound to: rates move, a unit can be taken between your reading the page and reserving it, and a price becomes yours when the reservation and the agreement say so.

Unit sizes are nominal, the way they are everywhere in this industry. A 10 by 10 is about ten feet by ten feet, not a surveyed measurement, and the useful question is whether your things fit rather than the last inch. If it matters, come and look at the unit before you rent it.

Photographs

Photographs on this site are of our own buildings and each is captioned with which building it is. We do not use stock photographs of somebody else's facility, and where we are short of pictures of a building we say so rather than borrowing one.

Reserving, paying, and your account

Reservations, payments and account management run on our reservation provider's system rather than on this website. Their terms apply to that part, alongside your rental agreement with us.

What we can promise about the website

We keep this site accurate and we correct it when it is wrong. We cannot promise it is never briefly wrong, that it is always available, or that a rate feed never hiccups. Nothing on this website is professional advice: the storage guides are the same standard practice any good operator would tell you, not an assurance about your particular car, boat or belongings.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from the use of this website. That is not a limit on what your rental agreement says about your goods, which is the document that governs them.

Your things are not insured by us

Storing something here does not insure it. Many homeowner and renter policies cover belongings in storage, sometimes at a reduced limit, so check yours. If it does not, insurance can be bought and the office will talk you through it. This is set out properly in the rental agreement.

Where this is governed

Connecticut law, and the courts of Connecticut.
