Collector storage

Collectors keep cars here for years, not weeks.

The same heated indoor bays as our car storage, taken by people who own something worth keeping dry. Hard floor, gated, and quiet.

Prices come from our reservation system and refresh every hour. A building shown as fully rented has no space of this kind free today, which is why there is nothing to reserve on it.

The same bay, a different conversation

We will be straight with you: a collector bay is the same indoor space as any other car bay here. There is no premium product with a different door on it. What is different is what people want to talk about, and how long they stay.

Most collector tenants are storing something they have owned for a long time and intend to keep. They ask about humidity, about whether the floor is concrete, about who else has access, and about whether they can get in on a Sunday. Those are the right questions and we answer them plainly.

What matters for a car that is not a daily driver

  • A hard, dry floor rather than gravel or dirt
  • Inside a building, so no sun on the paint and no snow load
  • No shared open space where someone else reverses a trailer past your wing
  • Gated access with your own code, and cameras on the property
  • Long stays are normal here, so nobody will ask you to move on

Before you bring it

Battery tender, fuel stabiliser, tyres up to pressure, and a cover if you use one. We are not going to pretend to be a concours facility with a trickle charger on every bay, and if that is what you need you should ask us what we do and do not provide before you book.

Questions about vehicle storage

Do you store cars, boats and motorcycles?
Yes, at 264 Freestone Ave in Portland, which runs as Portland Auto, Boat and RV Storage. Heated indoor bays for cars, indoor space for boats on trailers up to about forty-five feet, and smaller spaces for motorcycles and personal watercraft. There are also gated outdoor vehicle spaces in East Hampton and in Portland.
Do you take RVs and campers?
We do, in the deep indoor bays at Freestone Avenue. RV spaces are not listed with a price online, so call and we will tell you what is free and what it costs.
Is a vehicle space the same as a storage unit?
No, and the price is different. A vehicle space is sized and priced for what goes in it, and the vehicle pages on this site quote them separately from the storage units.
